On Thursday, a suspected Pakistani intruder was shot dead by the BSF (Border Security Force) along the Indo-Pak border near Pathankot, which is on high alert after the recent attack on the air force base.
Totally, there were three infiltrators trying to cross the border, 2 escaped, however. The BSF team saw suspicious activity along the border near Taash, Gurdaspur sector near Bamiyal in Pathankot and fired upon the intruders to stop them from escaping. The Taash area is widely suspected to be the place where the Pathankot terrorists sneaked in from. Combing operations are on in the area. No arms were recovered from the dead man and sources are considering if the man is a villager.
